Sponsor a Box – Flood Appeal 2025
Local Help, Lasting Hope — 100% for Flood Recovery
When floodwaters rose in May 2025, families across our community lost not only their homes but also their livelihoods and cherished belongings. In response, St Thomas Soup Kitchen launched the Sponsor a Box – Flood Appeal 2025 to bring direct, practical support to those affected.
This appeal placed dignity and choice back into the hands of flood-impacted households, offering vouchers redeemable at trusted local retailers. Families were able to access the essentials they needed most—whether groceries, clothing, appliances, school supplies, or building materials—helping them begin again with hope.
Community Generosity in Action
Between May 2 and June 30, our community gave generously, raising $18,510.76 in donations. With This was distributed directly to households impacted by the floods. No admin fees — just real help where it was needed most.
Vouchers were provided for use at Bunnings, Fantastic Furniture, and Bing Lee, ensuring families could purchase what mattered most for their recovery.

A special thanks to our local partners Essential Energy, Bing Lee, Fantastic Furniture and Bunnings for their generous contribution and support of the Flood Appeal. Our Ongoing Prayer
Our prayer is that each family supported through this initiative feels the love, care, and strength of the St Thomas community during this season of rebuilding.
This appeal may be closed, but our commitment to stand with our community in times of crisis remains unshaken.

Together, we rebuild.
